Terms and conditions for using TypingMentor, including accounts, AI features, subscriptions, advertising, ranked mode, and public profiles.

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of TypingMentor ("TypingMentor," "we," "us," or "our"), including our website, applications, and related services (collectively, the "Service"). The Service is operated by Intellixio.

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are under the age of majority in your jurisdiction, you may use the Service only with the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

You represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into these Terms and that your use of the Service complies with all applicable laws and regulations.

User accounts

Some features require an account. You are responsible for providing accurate account information, keeping your credentials secure, and all activity that occurs under your account.

You must notify us promptly through our contact us page if you believe your account has been compromised. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or pose a security risk.

Acceptable use

TypingMentor is provided for personal typing practice, learning, and related lawful purposes. You agree to use the Service in good faith and not to interfere with its normal operation.

You agree not to:

• Submit false, manipulated, or automated typing results, especially in ranked mode or leaderboards.
• Use bots, scripts, macros, or other tools to simulate human typing or gain unfair advantage.
• Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, overload, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
• Access another user's account without authorization.
• Upload or share content that is unlawful, harmful, harassing, defamatory, infringing, or otherwise objectionable.
• Use the Service to distribute malware, spam, or unauthorized advertising.
• Circumvent access controls, subscription restrictions, or security measures.

AI-generated recommendations disclaimer

TypingMentor uses artificial intelligence to analyze typing performance and generate personalized lessons, insights, reports, and coaching through Mentor Plus. AI outputs are provided for informational and educational purposes only.

AI-generated content may be inaccurate, incomplete, outdated, or inappropriate for your specific situation. We do not guarantee the accuracy, reliability, or fitness of AI recommendations. You are solely responsible for evaluating AI suggestions and for your typing practice decisions.

Mentor Plus is not a substitute for professional instruction, occupational training requirements, medical advice, or any regulated service.

Public profiles and leaderboards

You may choose to make your profile public and participate in ranked mode and leaderboards. Public profiles may display information you provide, such as username, display name, bio, links, and performance statistics, to other users and, where applicable, search engines.

Leaderboard and ranked standings are based on server-verified session data and eligibility rules defined by the Service. We may adjust, remove, or reset standings to address fraud, technical errors, abuse, or policy violations.

You are responsible for the information you choose to make public. We are not responsible for how others use publicly visible profile information.

User-generated content

"User content" includes profile information, custom text, prompts submitted to Mentor Plus, feedback, and any other material you submit through the Service.

You retain ownership of your user content, but you grant TypingMentor a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, reproduce, process, display, and distribute your user content solely as needed to operate, improve, and promote the Service, including generating personalized practice and AI responses.

You represent that you have the rights necessary to submit your user content and that it does not violate these Terms or any third-party rights.

Subscriptions and paid features

TypingMentor offers free and paid plans. Paid subscriptions may include features such as advanced AI personalization, Mentor Plus coaching, ad-free access, and other premium capabilities described at the time of purchase.

Subscription availability, pricing, features, and trial offers may change. Any changes to pricing for an active subscription will be handled in accordance with applicable law and the billing terms presented at checkout.

Paddle billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds, and taxes

Paid subscriptions are processed by Paddle, which may act as merchant of record or payment processor depending on your region. By purchasing a subscription, you also agree to Paddle's applicable terms and policies for the transaction.

Unless stated otherwise at checkout:

• Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until canceled.
• You authorize Paddle to charge your selected payment method for recurring fees, applicable taxes, and any disclosed add-ons.
• You can cancel renewal through your account settings or Paddle's customer portal, where available. Cancellation stops future charges but generally does not retroactively refund the current billing period unless required by law or stated in the offer.
• Refunds, when offered, are handled according to the refund policy displayed at purchase and applicable consumer protection laws. Use our contact page if you need help with a billing issue.
• You are responsible for any taxes, duties, or government charges associated with your purchase, except where Paddle collects them on our behalf as merchant of record.

If a payment fails, we may suspend paid features until payment is successfully processed.

Advertisements

Users on the free plan may see advertisements served through Ezoic or other advertising partners. Ads help support the free tier of the Service.

We do not control all content displayed in third-party advertisements and are not responsible for products or services advertised by third parties. Paid subscribers entitled to an ad-free experience should not receive standard in-service ads, subject to plan terms and technical limitations.

Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, branding, lessons, generated content outside your user content, and underlying technology, is owned by Intellixio or its licensors and is protected by intellectual property laws.

Except for the limited right to use the Service as permitted by these Terms, no license or ownership rights are granted to you. You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, or create derivative works from the Service without our prior written consent.

Service availability

We strive to keep TypingMentor available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. The Service may be modified, suspended, or discontinued in whole or in part at any time, including for maintenance, security, legal compliance, or business reasons.

Beta or experimental features, including AI capabilities, may change, be limited, or be withdrawn without notice.

Prohibited activities

In addition to the restrictions above, you may not use the Service to engage in illegal activity, infringe intellectual property, harass others, attempt unauthorized access, or facilitate cheating in ranked or competitive features. We may investigate suspected violations and cooperate with law enforcement where required.

Account suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe you have violated these Terms, created risk or legal exposure, engaged in fraud or abuse, or if we discontinue the Service.

You may stop using the Service at any time. Termination does not relieve you of obligations incurred before termination, including payment obligations for completed billing periods. Sections that by their nature should survive termination will survive, including intellectual property, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification.

Warranty disclaimer

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, SECURE, ERROR-FREE, OR THAT AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE.

Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, INTELLIXIO AND ITS OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, AND AFFILIATES WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE.

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE OR THESE TERMS WILL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED U.S. DOLLARS (USD $100).

SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW CERTAIN LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY, SO SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU.

Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Intellixio and its officers, directors, employees, agents, and affiliates from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses, including reasonable legal fees, arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your user content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of any rights of another person or entity.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Bangladesh, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. You agree that courts located in Bangladesh will have exclusive jurisdiction over disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service, except where mandatory consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction require otherwise.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we make material changes, we will post the updated Terms on this page and update the effective date above. Your continued use of the Service after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
